Part-time Dog Walker needed

Do you love playing with dogs, walking dogs, wearing jeans to work, not having the same schedule everyday and being greeted warmly by clients everyday? Do you have experience with various types of dogs, skittish/shy, strong and pulls on walk, not all are easy walkers.

Walk N Dogs is accepting applications for a part-time dog walker in our service area Clifton Park, Rexford, Halfmoon, Mechanicville, Ballston Lake, must be available M-F 9:30-2:30 for 3-6 walks per day. $14 per hour plus $.45 per mile.

Job Duties

-drive to clients homes in Clifton Park/and areas close to it as needed.

-be able to walk all types of dogs in all different types of weather, can be up to 7 walks a day

-follow client instructions for walking/care for their dog(s)

-clean up any messes (pee, poop, diarrhea, vomit) on walk or in the house

-be available to work M-F 9:30-2:30

-be flexible, the schedule can change daily based on clients needs

-write notes to client about each visit

-handle emergency visits to vet if needed

-text with owner and complete walks in pet sitting software via smart phone

-meet with clients occasionally

Qualifications

-High School diploma

-Valid drivers license

-Own transportation (reliable and insured)

-Own a smart phone with texting capability

-Good attention to detail and following instructions

-Work independently with direction

-Pass a background check

-Previous pet sitting/dog walking or related pet care (vet tech, shelter volunteer, etc.) experience a plus
